On Behalf of Dumble Farm

Happy new year and a massive thank you to all our supporters!

As chief spokes-calf for Dumble Farm, I (Chip) would like to say how much I along with all my fellow

Highlands, cuddle cows, goats and alpacas, appreciate the enthusiasm and support all our visitors have given.

It has been such an exciting last few weeks for me particularly. Charlie, Capples, Mel C and I have progressed from just meeting people in our pen, although as you can see in the picture, it is extremely hard work. We are now taking lovely guests for treks, plus I have the added responsibility of updating you with our latest adventures.

I feel I can use the word adventures, because after taking them through the trees, past the lake and along the river, many of the guests are muddy and wet when we get back from our walk. Plus we we like to mix it up a bit by walking at different speeds, stopping to graze or racing up the river bank (Farmer Will said that part needs to stop). They even seem interested when the farmers tell them all about the conservation project. I think I am a bit too young to understand it all, but I know it’s really important.

I know we are still learning, but the guests have been so patient with us.

I think I can speak for all of us animals on Dumble Farm, when I say we are just being ourselves, so we love the fact people like to get to know us and our personalities.

So on behalf of all of us, Happy New Year and hope to see you in 2023.

Love from Chip.
