The Highland cow experience starts with an introductory talk, where you’ll learn about the history of the farm and the conservation project, followed by a safety briefing.

You will then get to meet, groom, and cuddle a selection of our younger highland cows. You will learn all about your new furry friends, combing their hair, getting to know their different personalities and of course getting plenty of photos. But the hands-on part of the tour doesn’t end there, next, you’ll get to feed and cuddle our super friendly fussy goats!

You will then board the Dumble bus and head off on a safari to meet our main fold of Highland cows, with their dramatic horns, long flowing coats and cute dossans (fringes). You’ll learn all about the vital part they play in habitat creation. You’ll also have the chance to feed the cows, and there will be plenty more photo opportunities.

We finish off with tea/coffee and Farmer Fi’s  home baked cakes, made with many ingredients grown here on the farm. There is plenty of time while you have a brew, to have a friendly chat with the Dumble Farm farmers, who will be happy to answer any of your questions about the cows, conservation or their farming lives here in East Yorkshire.
