In the picturesque countryside of East Yorkshire, an extraordinary event awaits as adventure seekers and food aficionados come together for a unique Highland Cow Safari and evening meal at Laurel Vines Vineyard.

The evening starts with a reception at Dumble Farm, where guests receive a complementary glass of Laurel Vine wine, before meeting all our cute, fluffy year old Highland cows. These young Highlands are very friendly and love being fussed over by our guests, you can feed them snacks, brush their dossen(fringe), scratch their chins, (they love chin scratches!) and get lots of photos.

Then board the Dumble bus for a farmer led Highland cow safari. Ride into the grassy meadows and get up close to our main Fold of majestic Highland Cows and their adorable fluffy calves. You’ll be able to feed the cows from the trailer, and from this raised viewpoint get a great overview of the whole Fold. There will be plenty of time to photograph these magnificent cows with their dramatic horns, long flowing coats and cute dossens (fringes) tumbling over their faces. The knowledgeable Dumble Farm farmers will tell you facts about the breed, you can learn their names and all about their different personalities.

Guests then disembark the Dumble bus for a short picturesque walk (10 minutes), up through the vineyard to the winery, which offers stunning views over Dumble Farm.

Each event will have a different food theme, with homemade dishes perfectly paired with exquisite wines produced right from the vineyard’s own grapes.

Guests then take a leisurely stroll down through the vines to board the Dumble bus for the journey back through the cows to Dumble Farm.

Our first event will have an Italian food theme.

This price includes a main course of Beef or vegetarian Lasagne, served with garlic bread, salad and a small glass of wine or beer (additional drinks can be purchased during the evening).

There will also be a selection of Italian themed desserts available to purchase separately (£4).
